The Logic Game of Travel Restrictions

With this whole global pandemic thing, it has made an interesting summer. We only have a couple weeks left of homeschooling and I am starting to think and plan the next couple of months, taking into consideration the travel restrictions in place.

The border to the United States is currently closed, perhaps it will open up near the close of summer. We typically go to Great Falls, Montana, and stay at the KOA Labour Day weekend, they have a great little water park for the kids to play in. On second thought, would the water park even be open?

Maybe it will be easier to travel in Canada than the United States for the next year or so. What with the required self-quarantining afterwards and if something awful did happen, whether it be an accident or contracting corona virus, I don't love having to deal with all that health insurance nonsense.

I have always wanted to go to Vancouver Island and visit Tolfino. Eat fresh seafood, try surfing, walk on the beaches and look for marine life. Maybe if traveling within Canada and flying is better in September, that could be a good option? Flying seems more hectic than driving at this time.

Then, I see on the news BC people not acting very kindly towards visitors, keying cars and leaving threatening notes on the windshield. We likely wouldn't be driving our car but would people be just as unkind to rental cars?

So, I guess the smart and safe thing would be to stay in Alberta?  Alberta, it is!
