Disney+ Removes Mysterious "Gravity Falls" Fez Symbol; Creator ...

            Gravity Falls

While the Pandemic is still happening and cases are getting lesser in Alberta and businesses begin to open a bit more each week, with Phase 2 happening mid to end of June, our family finds ourselves inside our house more than usual. Especially before they did Phase 1 and ALL playgrounds closed. Sad times.

We found a great little TV program on Disney + called Gravity Falls. It is something that ALL four members of our family can agree on and enjoy.

Honey Badger loves Mabel's silliness and of course, her pet pig, Waddles. Little Dragon really likes the other child character, twin of Mabel, 12 year old Dipper (because he has a birthmark on his forehead that resembles the Big Dipper). Dipper is awkward around girls, especially his crush, Wendy. Little Dragon also really likes Soos, the clueless but always positive caretaker of the Mystery Shack and Grunkle Stan (Great Uncle to twins Mabel and Dipper). Stan is very old, crusty, set-in-his-ways, blunt, money obsessed and sometimes violent.

The writers do a great job with a continuous stream of jokes that please small children and educated adults. The animation is clean and pleasing, with the setting taking place in Gravity Falls, Oregon at the Mystery Shack located in the middle of the woods.

It has everything creepy and spooky that a child's imagination is wanting, but doesn't tread into anything too frightening.

The voice acting cast is stellar. Dipper Pines is voiced by Jason Ritter, the son of the late actor John Ritter. I recognize Jason's voice from one of my other, more adult, loved TV series, Parenthood. Mabel Pines is voiced by Kristen Schaal who has a one-of-a-kind voice that has been featured in Toy Story 3 &4 (the girl dinosaur) as well as a multitude of other movies where she plays the odd/weird girl.

We are almost done Season1 and see that Disney + also has Season 2. Will there be a Season 3? One can only hope.

If you haven't already, check out Gravity Falls and be prepared to love a cartoon that is arguably more clever than the Simpsons, but doesn't go into adult content or cursing. It's the best!
