Itching for Spring
Mother Nature has been showing us her nasty side as of late. She sneezes frozen rain and spews up wet, heavy snow all over the city. Why didn't she have the foresight to get a flu shot? Sheesh.
It has made it more difficult to go for daily walks. It also doesn't help that the City of Gatineau is not very committed to plowing streets (by major bus stops even). This adds to my ongoing notion of French people being lazy. All stores close around 6pm on Saturday nights, even Wal-mart! That's a whole other story. Thankfully, with the help of the Chariot's huge bike wheels we can maneuver over the chunky snow boulders, but all this staying in has started to make me a little crazy. I am still a few levels below the grow my nails out and pee in jars crazy level. I am hoping Spring comes early this year.
Dave is presently in an intense 3 week course called Alternative Dispute Resolutions. It deals with, just like it says, settling disagreements outside of court, which is a better alternative for any individual or company as it saves a lot of time and money. He seems to be enjoying it, mostly because it involves a final and only a four page paper (not 20 like some classes, barf!) After the course is over he gets a week off (instead of a February Reading Week). We were thinking about taking the train to Quebec City but think it would be best if we wait until the Spring so we can enjoy walking around with the stroller and seeing the old city. So maybe we will make a little trip to Syracuse, NY to do some outlet shopping? Perhaps.

We just bought a new stroller, more of a jogging stroller and it sure makes a difference! Hope the weather cooperates with your plans for a little trip!
