And More Months Go By...

So, I have done something difficult.

Something I never thought would be possible.

It was hard at first but I have grown accustomed to it's absence over the past few months.

I said "goodbye" to facebook.

By doing this I have found that I am not as obsessed with updating myself on other people's inflated life statuses and thus have discovered I have more time to do other projects, even if one of those projects is as disgusting and seemingly trite as getting a 2 year old butt on a plastic potty. They weren't kidding when they say potty training takes your full, undivided attention. As soon as you turn away, poop hits the floor. Every time...

I must admit there are days when wiping the pee off the floor and my clothes and yes, even my shoes, I wonder why I agreed to have a child (and another making HIS appearance this Christmas season). But the nights when I put him to bed and lie next to him and whisper, "I love you" and hear his sweet voice whisper back, "I love you too, Momma" it erases all the frustrations and renews hope that tomorrow will be a better day. And even if it's not, at least deep down beneath it all the Little Dragon has a soft spot for me. Just the other day he said, "I am so proud of you Momma".

We spent the summer at my sister's house in Alberta. Big Dragon biking to work at a law office every day, only falling off his bike and cracking his arm once.

And me making frequent pregnancy trips to Booster Juice on our semi-weekly walk to the public library. Life has been good to us and we are indeed grateful to my one and only big sis and her family.

The summer was also spent with trips to various parts of Alberta and BC for job interviews at various law offices. We had a few in the running and were contemplating different lifestyles. What ended up winning out, at least for the next year is a random place in the middle of Northeast nowhere Alberta called St. Paul. Big Dragon gets to use his mad French skills, practice every aspect of the law and maybe even come home every day to have lunch with his crazy family.

When Big Dragon went out to BC for some interviews we made a deal that if he saw a whale it would be a sign. He ended up seeing a whole POD of killer whales. With it's mild temperatures, long growing season, mountains, lakes, and ocean views this little family may indeed end up out there. Especially when I look outside today and see snowflakes blowing wildly from the sky to the cement.
