Canada- The Dysfunctional Family

Ottawa is A-OK with us.
This place is our home. For now.

I like my strolls with Little Dragon through the downtown sector. Brisking by swanky restaurants with hip, one name titles (like "Social" and "Play") wondering if I might catch a glimpse of someone politically important like Mr. Harper.
On a related note, did you know our tax dollars pay for him to have a personal stylist? (The first PM ever to have one, since 2007). I wish I could have been paid to do this.
"What Mr. Harper? You want to go for a boorish, uptight, mid-aged look? Got it. Oh and the polls suggest a drop in popularity so maybe you might want to wear your glasses today to look smart?"
No one will ever beat out Trudeau for being the most fashionable and charismatic. Sadly, not even his own son. Pierre was a rockstar. If Mr. Trudeau was still around I am sure he could host a reality show giving politicians make-overs on a budget. I would watch it.

I very much enjoy my walks around this city. It makes me realize how lucky we are to be here in Canada and not stuck in some third world country, or worst yet... the United States.

It is so profound that the capital of Canada is situated between two provinces. Two provinces that are so different in almost every sense. Forget comparing the United States and Canada as siblings. Ontario and Quebec ARE the two, polar opposite brothers forced to share a room and even dreaded bunk beds, screaming at each other for who gets dibs on the top bunk.

"But you had it last time" says Quebec.

"Don't make me punch you!" threatens Ontario.

"If you punch me again, I will leave this family once and for all! And never come back! NEVER!!!" responds Quebec.

"Go ahead and try! I bet you wouldn't last a day without us" assures Ontario.

Then suddenly their younger brother, Alberta bursts in.

"Ugh! It's him again. All dirty from playing in the sand, Al? You ruin everything!" say Ontario and Quebec in unison. Here they realize their mutual hatred for this little twerp and with that high-five each other.
"But look at all these monies I found!" beams Alberta.
To Be Continued.... (Part Two: The Canada family puts in papers for adopting Baby Newfoundland but it takes a REALLY long time for them to go through).
